Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions
Please note that these terms and conditions are published here in both French and English. In the event of there being any discrepancy between the two versions, the French version shall prevail.
You may only order if you accept these terms and conditions in their entirety. All orders will be governed by these general terms of sale, to the exclusion of any other condition of sale.
When clicking to validate your order after having completed your order on the website constitutes an acceptance of these terms and conditions. It demonstrates your definitive consent to your contract with www.lainedesiles.com for the items that you have selected (subject to your right of retraction).
These conditions of sale are concluded on one part by Yasmin Harper, hereafter called “the seller” and on the other by any person or business wishing to make a purchase on the website “Laine des Îles”, hereafter called “the buyer”.
The object of these terms of sale is to define the contractual relationship betweem the seller and the buyer and the conditions that are applicable to each purchase made via the website of the seller, whether the buyer is a business or a member of the public. The acquisition of goods or services via this website implies an acceptance without reservation by the buyer of these terms of sale. These terms and conditions shall prevail over any other general or particular conditions not expressly agreed by the seller. The seller reserves the right to make changes to the conditions of sale at any time. In this case, the applicable conditions shall be those applicable at the time that the order was placed by the buyer.
The products offered are those that feature on the website www.lainedesiles.com. These products are offered subjext to availability of stock. Each item is accompanied by full description visible on the website. The illustrative pictures are as faithful as possible but we cannot guarantee a perfect reproduction, particularly where colours are concerned.
The products are supplied at the prices applicable on the website at the time that the buyer places the order. Prices are expressed in Euros. As the seller is registered as a sole trader and is currently not VAT-registered, please note that prices do not include any sales tax and no tax can be reclaimed by businesses or overseas buyers. The seller reserves the right to modify prices at any time, with it being understood that the price featuring on the website on the day of the order shall be the only price applicable to the buyer. The indicated prices do not include order processing, transport or delivery fees, which are calculated according to the value and/or the weight and/or the geographical zone of the relevant delivery.
The buyer wishing to purchase a product must:
- complete the identification form on which he/she will indicate all the personal details requested or give his customer ID if applicable
- complete the online order form, giving all the product references of the selected items
- validate his/her order after having checked it
- make payment according to indicated options
- confirm his/her order and payment
Confirmation of the order is considered to be an acceptance of the terms of sale, and confirms that the buyer has understood said terms and accepts that no other terms shall prevail.
All details supplied as well as the registered confirmation constitute proof of the transaction. The confirmation constitutes signature and acceptance of the contract.
The seller will send a confirmation of the order by email.
The buyer, whether a business or member of the public, has the right to cancel their order for a period of 14 days from the date of delivery, and to return the item to the seller for exchange or refund without charge, excluding transport costs.
This right to cancel will only be applicable to items returned in their original state, complete, in good condition and accompanied by a copy of the packing note or invoice (downloadable via a link in your shipping confirmation). Any items returned incomplete, damaged or dirty will not be accepted.
To return one or more items, you should first contact us via email to inform us of the return and to advise us whether you prefer a refund or an exchange. Items should be returned to the following address:

Items should be returned by post (La Poste in France) using a signed for service, in as-new condition, in their original packaging. Laine des Îles will not be held responsible for any package returned but not received. Return shipping costs are to be paid by the buyer.
The cost of the goods is due when placing your order and in EUROS, whatever the country of delivery or of the invoice address. Payments may be made by cheque, bank transfer, debit/credit card or Paypal account.

If payment is made by bank transfer, the relevant bank details will be indicated on the order confirmation email sent after completion of your order.
Debit/credit card numbers are not seen or stored by Laine des Îles. All financial information is deleted.
Orders are usually sent within 48 hours of receipt of your payment. The standard method of delivery in France is Colissimo, tracked but not signed for, except for small items less than 3cm thick which can be sent by simple letter post. If you wish to sign for your delivery, an extra charge will apply. If you wish to sign for your delivery, an extra charge will apply. The shipping method for all other countries is Colissimo International (the priority parcel service of the French post office). For all shipments via Colissimo, the buyer will be alerted by email when the order has been despatched, which he/she will be able to track on the website www.laposte.fr.
In the case of delivery to a pick-up point (Colissimo Point Relais, customers in France and Belgium only), the order will be available to collect for a period of 10 working days following the receipt of an SMS sent to the telephone number indicated by the buyer at the time of ordering. The buyer will have the opportunity to choose his/her preferred pick-up point after payment has been completed. PLEASE NOTE THAT A VALID MOBILE NUMBER MUST BE SUPPLIED IF YOU CHOOSE THIS SERVICE.
Delivery will be made the to delivery address indicated by the buyer. Deliveries cannot be made to hotels or PO boxes. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that all address details are correct. In the event that the address supplied does not allow for the parcel to be delivered, leading to its return to the seller, any re-sending cost will be at the expense of the buyer.
We currently deliver to mainland France (including Corsica), the European Union, the rest of Europe (excluding Russia), Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the United States and Canada. For delivery to any other country or territory, the buyer should first contact Laine des Iles for a rate. The shipping charge is calculated according to the postal cost which varies depending on the type of item and/or weight and/or value of your order.
The seller will not be held responsible for any potential delivery problems, loss or damage to the parcel in transit, which shall be the responsibility of the transporter. In the case of loss or damage, a claim will be made with the French post office. In the case of compensation being paid, this will be paid to the customer in the form of a credit note or refund.
In the case of a standard Colissimo parcel (not signed for) being shown as “delivered” by the La Poste or ColiShip, but which the addressee has not received, please note that La Poste does not unfortunately accept responsiblity in these cases and no claim can be made or refund issued in this respect.
All products supplied by the vendor benefit from the legal guarantee covered by articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code. In the event that an item should be defective, the item may be returned to the seller who will take it back and either exchange or refund it.

Données à caractère personnel
Conformément à la loi relative à l’informatique, aux fichiers et aux libertés du 6 janvier 1978, les informations à caractère nominatif relatives aux acheteurs pourront faire l’objet d’un traitement automatisé. Le vendeur se réserve le droit de collecter des informations sur les acheteurs y compris en utilisant des cookies, et, si elle le souhaite, de transmettre à des partenaires commerciaux les informations collectées. Les acheteurs peuvent s’opposer à la divulgation de leurs coordonnées en le signalant au vendeur. De même, les utilisateurs disposent d’un droit d’accès et de rectification des données les concernant, conformément à la loi du 6 janvier 1978.
Le traitement automatisé d’informations, y compris la gestion des adresses e-mail des utilisateurs du site a fait l’objet d’une déclaration à la CNIL le 26/08/2016 enregistrée sous le numéro 1985982.
Archivage - Preuve
Le vendeur archivera les bons de commandes et les factures sur un support fiable et durable constituant une copie fidèle conformément aux dispositions de l’article 1348 du Code civil. Les registres informatisés du vendeur seront considérés par les parties comme preuve des communications, commandes, paiements et transactions intervenus entre les parties.
Les présentes conditions de vente en ligne sont soumises à la loi française. Tout litige entre l'entreprise et l'acheteur sera soumis au Tribunal compétent.
