Tukuwool DK is the big sister of Tukuwool Fingering, and has the same unique characteristics that we already love.
Tukuwool is a high-quality wool, spun and dyed in Finland using only Finnish wool. The DK is spun from the wool of pure Finnsheep and Finnsheep/Texel crossbreed sheep. The Finnsheep breed comes in a range of colours from white to black, and the palette therefore contains 16 heathered colours, obtained by overdying grey shades of yarn. It is a woollen-spun, plied yarn with a lovely natural sheepy feel and smell, which is warm, soft and rustic. Wonderful for both colourwork and textured knits.
